Handmade Natural Soy Candles NZ
Earth Candles Co. was born out of a family affection for Aotearoa (NZ) and Mother Nature. Combined with a passion for creating beautifully handcrafted candles.
All Earth candles are handmade in Warkworth, New Zealand using the finest materials available, including 100% natural soy wax and re-purposed wine and beer bottles.
We make our signature glass vessels from up-cycled (re-purposed) wine and beer bottles which we salvage from friends and local businesses. It then takes a meticulous process of cleaning, de-labelling, cutting, grinding and polishing before the vessel is ready to be filled with rich natural soy wax. Each vessel can be reused time and time again, giving it an infinite life and keeping it out of the landfill.
We put heart and soul into every candle we produce this is why our candles bring such a relaxing ambient atmosphere to all spaces; you will love them as much as we do.

Why Candles?
Timelessly romantic, they have used candles for centuries to provide a warm soft light. While we no longer need the utility of candlelight, we have never lost our love for that warm glow that provides sweet security in the evenings and at night. We remember how much a burning light meant safety, security, and comfort to our ancestors. Now, with improved soy waxes, our soy candles provide you with a stronger scent throw. The power of fragrance is not to be underestimated. Scientific research has shown that fragrances can evoke old memories, create new ones and inspire moods from invigorating to sultry and romantic. The gentle light that a candle gives off can alter the ambience and atmosphere of any environment. Candles are known to be romantic. Their beautiful light softens the hard edges of life like a diffused portrait in a matte finish.
