The Benefits of Choosing Soy Wax Candles NZ

Soy wax is made from soybean oil. It is a crop, so it is renewable, and it is biodegradable.

It burns for a long time

Soy burns slowly. Our 360g wine bottle candles run 60 to 80 hours. A 200g beer bottle candle is around 40, and a 100g tealight around 25.

It washes out

Soy wax comes out of glass with warm water and dish soap. That matters here, because we want the bottle used again once the candle is finished.

What we use

100% pure soy wax and cotton wicks. Non-toxic, and free from additives, dyes, paraffin, petroleum and phthalates.

Getting the best out of it

Trim the wick to 10 to 15mm before the first light, then keep it at 5 to 6mm after that. On the first burn, let the melt pool reach the full width of the glass, which takes two to four hours. Full instructions are on our Candle Care page.
